Accessibility
We want this site to be usable by everyone, including people using a screen reader, keyboard navigation, magnification, or a browser with a larger text size.
The standard we aim at
We build to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA. That covers colour contrast, keyboard operation, text alternatives for images, clear focus indicators, and content that adapts when you zoom or change text size.
What we have done
- Every page works with a keyboard alone, and the focus indicator stays visible.
- Text meets the contrast requirements against its background.
- Images uploaded to the site cannot be published without a text description.
- Movement is switched off entirely if your device is set to reduce motion, and the rotating headlines on the home page do not advance on their own in that case.
- The page zooms to 200% without content being lost or overlapping.
- Forms label every field and explain errors in words rather than colour alone.
Where it may still fall short
We test with automated tools and by keyboard, and we know that neither catches everything. Areas we are still improving are the services menu in the header and the cookie notice, both of which are being reworked for screen-reader users. Documents published as PDFs may not meet the same standard as the pages themselves. If you need one in a different format, ask and we will provide it.
Tell us if something does not work
If any part of this site prevents you from doing what you came to do, please tell us. Email info@aptc.pt or call +351 289 300 270, and say which page and what happened. We will reply and, where we can, give you the information another way in the meantime.
You can also use the contact form, though if the form itself is the problem, please use the phone number or email above.
